Roger the Plumber, a Kansas City, a Missouri-based provider of residential heating, air conditioning, plumbing, and central water filtration services, has acquired the well-established  Rainbow Plumbing of Merriam, Kansas.

For more than 35 years, Rainbow Plumbing has provided local homeowners with professional plumbing and drain cleaning services to the homeowners in the Kansas City area.

The operation will move forward with Roger the Plumber leadership team of Ian Williams and Mike Paredez working alongside with Rainbow’s Dean and Debbie Hutchinson to ensure the Rainbow customer base is taken care of in the same great way it always has.

“The culture that Rainbow Plumbing was founded on is one of integrity and trust to the families it has served over the past 35 years,” Williams said. “Rainbow’s business meshes well with the Roger the Plumber core values.”

“We selected Roger the Plumber because of their good relationship with their customers founded on honesty and customer service, as well as their history and commitment to quality,” said Dean Hutchinson, president and COO at Rainbow Plumbing. “In Roger the Plumber, we have found a partner and a leadership team that embody the philosophies on which Rainbow Plumbing was founded.”

Rainbow Plumbing has received many accolades, including Angie’s List Super Service Award and many raving online reviews over the years from its loyal customer base.

“We started in 1981, working out of our home for years and then moving to our Merriam shop in 1985, by giving customers high-quality plumbing services at a reasonable price. We have enjoyed working for all our customers and truly appreciate all the referrals that many have given to their family and friends.  We truly thank you all very much” Dean & Debbie Hutchinson.

Today, Rainbow Plumbing has more than 9,000 customers, some third-generation.

This is the third strategic acquisition for Roger the Plumber in the last 18-months in the Kansas City Area.

“This acquisition will allow us to continue bringing industry-leading plumbing, air conditioning, and heating service to more customers in the Kansas City market,” said Ian Williams, Roger the Plumber General Manager.
